Moving between Paris and Montreal, Pikanoa is a visual artist, muralist, and illustrator who holds degrees in both applied arts from École Boulle and digital arts from École Gobelins in Paris. Her unique career path initially led her into the heart of the creative and video game industries, before she chose to dedicate herself fully to her independent practice.
Her work unfolds at the intersection of traditional techniques and digital arts. Through murals, live painting, and works on canvas, Pikanoa explores concepts of presence, identity, and conscious wonder. In a world that sometimes pressures individuals to fade into the background or diminish themselves, she portrays bold contemporary figures and heroines who assert their right to exist fully, to explore, and to play.
Color is the beating heart of her approach; far from being a mere aesthetic choice, it acts as a vital force—a luminous response to the complexities of today’s world. Bridging urban art and a quest for meaning, Pikanoa transforms chromatic material into vibrant territories to inhabit, inviting the audience at the INGANG gallery to delight in their own sense of curiosity and wonder.
